  What is a Structured Deposit?
A structured deposit is essentially a combination of a deposit and an investment product, where the return is dependent on the performance of some underlying financial instruments. Typical financial instruments linked to such deposits include market indices, equities, interest rates, fixed-income instruments, foreign exchange or a combination of these.
What are the Basic Features of Principal Protected Structured Deposit?
100% principal protection if held to maturity
Wide range of financial instruments and assets as the underlying instruments
The investment return is variable and conditional, and is linked to the performance of the underlying asset
It's possible that investors will potentially gain a return higher or lower than regular time deposit of the same tenor or zero
What are the Risks associated with Structured Deposit?

Structured deposit can guarantee 100% principal protection if held to maturity. Hence, it is classified as a product with relatively low risk. However, there are still associated risks, e.g. there can be foreign exchange risk, liquidity risk and the risk of underperformace of the underlying derivative financial instruments and assets.

For details, please refer to the sections of "Risk Disclosure" of each structured deposit before subscription. Investors should make appropriate decisions regarding the suitability of each structured deposit based on their specific circumstances.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Unlike traditional deposits, Structured Deposits have an investment element and returns may vary. The initial investment amount of a Structured Deposit is guaranteed only if you hold it until the Maturity Date. Pre-mature withdrawal of Structured Deposits may result in you receiving less than your initial investment amount. You further understand that you will bear any costs and charges associated with such pre-mature withdrawal of the Structured Deposits. OCBC Bank may have the right to terminate the Structured Deposits and return an amount in cash to you from the due settlement of the Structured Deposits before the Maturity Date. You may be exposed to inherent exchange rate risks and exchange controls when you place Structured Deposits.
