What services does WeChat Banking offer?

You can

  • check the overview of assets and liabilities

  • update the validity period of your identity certificate

  • purchase structured deposit products

  • conduct fund transactions (Local Unit Trust distributed by OCBC China and QDII launched by OCBC China)

  • conduct time deposit and call deposit transactions

  • conduct foreign exchange transactions

  • inquire about loan information and make an appointment to collect documents


If you need to register for WeChat Banking services, do you have to go to a branch in person?

You can subscribe our WeChat Banking official account "华侨银行微银行" through WeChat APP to register for our WeChat Banking service.


What should you do if you incorrectly enter the verification code for three times when registering for our WeChat Banking?

If your verification code has been entered incorrectly for three times, you will no longer be able to register for our WeChat Banking on the same day. Please try again after midnight the next day.


If you plan to change your mobile phone, can you still log in to our WeChat Banking?

If you will change to a smartphone that supports Android or iOS system, you can log in to our WeChat Banking as usual.


If you change your WeChat account and cannot log in to our WeChat Banking, what should you do?

You need to re-register for our WeChat Banking to log in and use our WeChat Banking services.


If you need to conduct foreign exchange transactions, do you have to visit a branch in person?
  • If you hold a resident ID card of the People's Republic of China, you can log in to our WeChat Banking to apply for foreign exchange business.

  • If you hold a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao residents, a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan residents, or a foreign passport, you can log in to our WeChat Banking to exchange RMB to foreign currencies. If you need to exchange foreign currencies to RMB, please visit our personal banking service branches with relevant supporting documents.


If you have changed your identity certificate, do you need to update the certificate in person at our outlets?

If your ID card registered at our bank has expired, you can log in to our WeChat Banking to update the validity period online.


If you need to lock your debit card, can you do it by yourself on WeChat Banking?

You can log in to our WeChat Banking, click “More - Account Management - Security Center” to apply for “lock card” service. After locking the debit card, you will not be able to conduct card transactions at home and abroad, including spending, pre-authorization, cash withdrawal, but it will not affect credit transactions.


You have chosen automatic investment plan of local unit trust/QDII on a monthly basis, why is there no deduction in that month?

If you choose automatic investment plan on a monthly basis, your application will be subject to the first deduction in the following month after the bank confirms the effectiveness of the investment plan.


If you change your phone number and cannot receive the verification code from our WeChat Banking, what should you do?

Please visit one of our personal banking branches with your valid identity certificate and real-name authenticated mobile phone to change your default mobile phone number.
